The Last of Us Part 1 PC patch 1.1.2 has been rolled out by Iron Galaxy and Naughty Dog, and here's what it does. According to the official release notes for this new PC update, the patch willPS5 and Xbox SeX use around 10GB of video memory (roughly, since the pool is unified on PS5). And their games tend to be design for couch play, where detailed texture matter less. And the consoles have better utilization of said memory, with cheaper and faster swapping assets in and out of it. As soon as RT is enabled (which barely increases VRAM usage at all relatively speaking) I can't use a texture pool larger than 1GB without crashing, and with that all the textures are really low res. RT dynamic memory allocation is likely just bugged. Never had an issue like that in any other game. reply. Quit the game. Set your monitor refresh rate in Windows to 60Hz. Fire up the game again. Go into settings and turn on V-sync but leave framerate limit unlimited. OPTIONAL – turn motion blur up to around 8 in game settings for extra smoothness. And that’s it.

Initially release it on Xbox/pc exclusively for the first year to 2 years then rerelease it everywhere else to secure the rest of the sales numbers. Would be better for the entire gaming community if this was how exclusive releases were done.
