the arena is accessible from any FT location (Lifeguard station is the first). Please note there's a storage box in the arena (Jin Storage). One of the DLC’s is exclusive to a character it should be on the character screen on the far right. If you want the arena you have to play some of the game first then find it. I’ve played both dead island and dead island definitive edition and I must say I hated the gun model changes for the firearms in the definitive edition. I personally liked the older models better than dying light gun models. I know that I could just play the original which is fine, but I really liked the definitive edition engine. So for Christmas I got Dead Island Definitive Edition (used) for Xbox One. I loaded it into my Xbox Series X and after a while, it started installing. Maybe this was my first sign something was wrong. It seemed to load fine after that. Family wanted to watch a TV show so I took the disc out and loaded another game while we watched TV.After installing 7-zip you will go to wherever your Steam folder is installed and go to this directory: "\Steam\steamapps\common\DIDE" that's the main folder for Dead Island Definite Edition. Inside DIDE you will see a folder called "DI", you will open that folder and right click at Data0 and ask to open with 7-zip.

This is not an answer. I'm having the same problem, so I'm also asking this question. Does anyone know how to resolve this? I got through the prologue (offline, single player) of Riptide, (which I got in the Dead Island Definitive Collection), and right at the end of the prologue going into chapter 1, it's now suddenly prompting me with a message that co-op is now available.
